Window tinting is a great addition to enhance the look of your car. However, a bad tint job can make your car look bad. So how do you know a bad tint job? Here's what you should know.

Good tint has small, clean edges. You can tell if a car has a quality tinting when the films have a consistent clean line on the edges. A good tint application will have a clean look in a line that's close to the edge of the window pane and doesn't reel. So when there's a noticeable gap and it looks bad, then the tinting is not good.

Tint turned purple. When the tint turned purple with age, then it is a clear indication that the film used in the window is low quality. Vinyl window film with dyes fades eventually.

Huge bubbles surely indicate a bad tint job, but even very, very small bubbles can distort your view. Well installed window tinting has a low risk of bubbles, but if you choose to use a cheap window tint, bubbles may occur as early as six months as the adhesive starts to break down precipitately.

Gaps and bubbles around the defroster bars. The thin lines running across the backglass is called defroster. Any excess gap on the backglass may cause tint bubbles and expand over time. The window tint must be pressed tightly against the defroster to prevent forming bubbles.
