Tinted Window Removal - When And Why It Should Be Done

20/1/2022

TINTED WINDOW REMOVAL
Why do you need to remove your car window tint when most even want a tint on their vehicles? Eventually, tints get old, and their colour fade. A poor-quality tint installation will result in bubbles appearing. You may need to remove the tint to have a new window tint installed.

Without window tinting, you will see a noticeable change in the look of your car. No more messy window tint that makes your car look old. However, once you have removed the tint, expect the sun glare to affect the car’s interior significantly if you do not place a new window tint right away.

You will have to remove the old film from the window car properly to avoid damage to the glass. You can remove it yourself or have the experts handle it for you. If you are a do-it-yourself person, you could try to solve the problem independently. However, you need to know that you will be facing complex issues along the way. You may even see that getting rid of that old tint is not as easy as the window installation.

Window Tint Removal

For effective tinted window removal, you will need an ammonia glass cleaner, razor blades, paper towels, white or light abrasive Scotch bright pads, and a heat gun. The success here will depend on whether the film is new or old. A car tint that is just two years will be much easier to remove than a decade window film.

It may take a while to remove the tint, and the glue may be difficult to remove completely. While anyone can still do this type of project, it is more practical to contact a tinting specialist for a faster and more efficient removal to ensure proper window tint removal.
